Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty area. NPs provide care throughout the life span of the female patient from adolescence through menopause. They diagnose and treat acute health problems, perform physical exams, prescribe medications. Nurse practitioners have met criteria for advanced practice and hold national certification in their specialty.
